ParentsNext - 30 William Street, Rockhampton
ParentsNext is a program working with parents who are preparing to enter employment education and training. ParentsNext Project providers work with parents to help them to identify their education and employment goals, overcome any barriers, develop a pathway to achieve their goals and link them to activities and services in the local community. Servicing Gladstone, Yeppoon/Emu Park, Biloela, Woorabinda, Emerald and Rockhampton. Participants can be referred by Services Australia or can be self-referred if meeting the criteria of receiving a Parenting Payment and have a child under the age of 6. Individual Placement Support (IPS) – 155A Alma Street, Rockhampton
The aim of the IPS program is to improve the educational and employment outcomes of young people aged up to 25 with mental illness. The IPS program integrates employment and vocational services with clinical mental health and non-vocational support and focuses on the individual needs of people with mental illness who are seeking to enter, or remain in, education and/or employment. Skilling Queenslanders for Work, Work Skills Traineeships – 30 William Street, Rockhampton
Work Skills Traineeships give long-term unemployed and disadvantaged job seekers access to tailored employment assistance and employment on community, public works and environmental projects.
Through Work Skills Traineeships, participants are employed full-time for 18 – 26 weeks as entry-level trainees on work placement projects, whilst also completing a Certificate I in Construction, Business, Conservation and Land Management, Hospitality or Retail Services.
